2013 Sobey Art Award Exhibition

The 2013 Sobey Art Award exhibition features works by the five shortlisted artists vying for this year’s Award. They are:

• West Coast and the Yukon: Isabelle Pauwels
• Prairies and the North: Mark Clintberg
• Ontario: Duane Linklater
• Quebec: Pascal Grandmaison
• Atlantic: Tamara Henderson

The Sobey Art Award is Canada’s pre-eminent award for contemporary Canadian art. This is your chance to discover what is new in Canadian art now. The award established in 2002 is awarded to a Canadian artist age 40 and under who has exhibited in a public or commercial art gallery within 18 months of being nominated. The winner of the award will be announced on the evening of Wednesday October 9th, 2013, with $50,000 going to the winner and $5,000 awarded to each of the other finalists.
